After 7 good years of enjoying my 2003 first-year model Honda Pilot EXL that I got in 2002, I traded it recently for my first BMW, a 2009 528i xDrive. It seemed like a snap decision. I literally decided on a Saturday after casually going to a BMW dealer. The truth is, as noted in my blog entry, I've been thinking about getting a bimmer for a very long time. I finally got my priority right!

I plan to keep this site alive ... assuming it's of interest to hondapilot.org members and friends.

Unfortunately, it's unlikely I can make it due to family and job commitments. If you're from Toronto, GTA or within commuting distance, check out this thread at hondapilot.org. Also, if you're interested in signing up at this site and indicate your location, I'll be happy to create a member group for Toronto and GTA so you can send messages to the group. Please add a comment to this news post if you'd like to be included in the group.

Due to continuing spamming at this site, I've temporarily disabled anonymous posting. To my hondapilot.org fellow members, I'm sorry to take this action. The spammer(s) left me with little choice. We'll see how this goes but hopefully things return to normal soon.

Update: I'm afraid anonymous posting is a thing of the past. To post something, you must be a member. You're welcomed to signup if you like. Sorry, but I'm fighting a losing battle against anonymous posts by spammers.

My apology to bona fide visitors to this site, especially my hondapilot.org fellow members. Someone has been spamming the chatbox at this site, presumably using a script. It's a nuisance and I really don't have time for this sort of nonsense. So I did a quick and dirty trick to block the spammer but it may affect all chatbox postings. I didn't test my code thoroughly. Hopefully the spammer will leave this site alone soon so things can return to normal.

Update: OK, I'm trying another trick. Let's see if this works.

I'd like to invite new members (or those who haven't done so) to submit the VIN data. You'll be pleased to know that this is a database so the numbers are updated constantly as soon as it is submitted! Now it is important to remember that since your membership data is not maintained here, please ensure that you enter your hondapilot.org User Name correctly!
